I was recently chosen to try the products in one of the newest vox boxes from Influenster, the J’Adore VoxBox. I am so excited to review all the products so I’ll post a little rundown of everything in there, with more detailed reviews to come later.
Boots Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask– I love a good clay mask, as my skin tends to be on the oily side. I also love Boots products ever since I lived in the UK in college!
Hershey Kisses Milk Chocolates– Who doesn’t love these?!?! I have a two year old that won’t argue with me.
Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight Flat Iron Spray– I use a flat iron on my hair almost everyday. I wake up with very wavy hair and I really want this to live up to its 3 day promises!
Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes– I like to put on artificial lashes since mine are so thin. I can’t wait to see how easy to apply and how natural-looking these are. I love Kiss products already.
Red Rose Simply Indulgent Teas– I have never tried this brand of tea but the flavors sound amazing!
Stay tuned and for more information in the meantime, check out Influenster!

I don’t know about you but when I’m in the grocery store, I ALWAYS look at the reduced, day-old bread. It’s so cheap and versatile. I usually pick up at least one item and use it in my meal plan for that week. For instance, last time they had a pizza crust with sauce included for $1.50! I added cheese and a bagged salad that I already had in my fridge and a quick, frugal meal was born! Another great meal idea is to buy a loaf of french bread off the quick sale rack and make French Toast! It doesn’t get much cheaper than that since 90% of you probably already have eggs, milk and syrup. The other day, I picked up a pack of day old sub rolls. Imagine the possibilities! I was going to milk those babies for as long as I could! And I did. We used them for sandwiches and hot dogs before I made these meatball subs. They were so delicious and easy. The leftovers were amazing as well.
Mother of the year, here with french fries. We had a veggie too but the plate was too full in this pic. Plus they were baked! 😉
1/2 bag of store bought meatballs (just buy what’s on sale!)
1/2 bag of mozzarella cheese
1/2 bag of sub rolls
Jar of spaghetti sauce
Italian blend, garlic powder & s/p to season
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Meanwhile, cut your rolls in half and sprinkle with cheeses and spices on a baking sheet.
Heat your meatballs up in a crock pot all day with the sauce, on low (suggested) or you can heat both in a pot on the stove. Bake your bread in the oven for about 10 minutes or until nice and toasty.
Evenly distribute your meatballs between your rolls and put more sauce on top. Then add more of the cheeses. Bake in the oven for about another 10-15 minutes or until the cheese browns. Enjoy!
Do you have any ideas for day old bread? Do you shop the quick sale racks? I love getting creative and I would love to hear your opinions!
I am definitely one busy lady, like most of us. I am a stay at home mom by day and a visual merchandiser by night. Not to mention all the countless other activities that our family is involved in. One thing we agree on is how important it is to eat a good breakfast every morning. My family always makes time for breakfast. You wouldn’t drive your car around without gas, right? But since we are always running somewhere, we like things that are quick and tasty. If they fill you up for longer than an hour, it’s even better! We don’t really stop at breakfast foods either. We eat leftovers, sandwiches, cold pizza. You name it, we’ll try it! Our goal is to find something that fills us up until lunch and is relatively healthy.
When BzzAgent sent me the New Fiber One Protein Cereals, I was very excited. Fiber One is a brand that we already purchase in our house However, we don’t buy the cereals too often for some reason. This will change now that these babies have arrived. They come in Cranberry Almond and Maple Brown Sugar and they taste like a pricey granola! My whole family enjoys both varieties. We put them in our yogurt. We ate them with milk, as a cereal. They even worked great as an on-the-go snack! They filled me up until lunchtime and they were tasty to boot! Can you say that about your current cereal?!?!
Here’s the best part: They contain 10g of protein when served with milk and 20% of your daily value of fiber! I feel good about giving Fiber One Protein Cereals to my family and since I can take it with me on trips, errands, and wherever, they earn brownie points. These cereals have found a place in my pantry and in my heart! 😉
So, the next time you are in the supermarket, pick one up. Then let me know what you think!

I have a lot to keep me busy on this snowy Monday! Free magazine subscriptions, a free doggie dental pack that I won on Twitter from 1800PetMeds, and a Monsters University DVD that I won in a Twitter party. I got a free snickers bar from a facebook contest, free Coke Zero from a Groundhogs Day contest on Coke Rewards, and a FiberOne bar from the Betty Crocker website!
How was your week?
Disclaimer: On Mailbox Monday, I only post things that I’ve received 100% free in the mail. They come from samples, giveaways, contests, etc. I have not put any money out to receive anything pictured.
This week, Freebie Friday isn’t about getting free stuff in the mail; it’s about getting free stuff when you shop. Last night, we had a work function for my husband and we decided to go to Kmart afterwards. I love shopping at Kmart. They have a rewards program with Sears called Shop Your Way Rewards. You basically earn points for every purchase that you can cash in for free merchandise. The really nice thing about the program is that they send coupons out ALL THE TIME for more points or money off, etc. At one point they even had gas rewards at BP! Like I said, I love this store!
We bought a dishwasher at Sears a few weeks ago and the special was that you get $20 back in points. We got a great deal on our dishwasher and got more free stuff on top of that! So we cashed in our points last night, combined with our merchandise being on clearance and we did great! Not to mention we won’t need valentines for the next 2-3 years.
Pepsi’s were on sale 5 for $5. The valentines candy was 70% off. The cards were 90% and the Hickory Farms sets were 75% off. The food pouch organizer was only $2.99 on clearance. Oh, and did I mention that we still have $5 in points left over?!?
You can use your Shop Your Way Rewards card as both Kmart and Sears. You can find Kmart’s coupon policy here too. Make sure you at least glance over it before making a purchase using coupons and always make sure your items ring up correctly. I like it because they periodically have double coupons up to 99 cents, saving even more! They also have a little grocery section, complete with refrigerated items, like milk, eggs and things like that. They make it convenient to pick up everything you need.
Are you already a Shop Your Way Rewards member? What are your thoughts about the program? What good deals have you gotten?
Enjoy your weekend!
This week featured free magazines, a Free Vegetarian Starter kit (with recipes) from the Peta website, Free Snickers bars from a Facebook contest, a free Glade air freshener, a low carb diet starter kit, a ring that I won from a Twitter contest and a few coupons for Lemonheads that I won in a Twitter contest.
Was your mailbox happy last week?
