Incredible Hulk Smoothie and Eco at Heart Stainless Steel Drinking Straws Giveaway!

Man, I love fruit!  I can’t get enough of it and my daughter is the same way.  I love making smoothies too.  However, by the time you buy all the supplies, it costs you a small fortune!  Well, I am not one to break the bank on a drink.  I’m going to show you how to buy fruit for less and make this beauty for a fraction of the cost!  Plus, I’m going to show you how to drink your frugal smoothie in style with Eco at Heart Stainless Steel Drinking Straws.

ecostraws11.  The first thing is to be flexible.  For example, when you go to the grocery store, if they have oranges on quick sale, for goodness sake, BUY THOSE!  But if they don’t, use orange juice or a concentrated can of oj that’s on sale!  See?!?! Flexible.

2.  Stock up on frozen fruit from the dollar store.  Oh yes,  Every time I hit the dollar store, I buy a bag or two to keep in our chest freezer.  It always comes  in handy.

3.  Buy the cheapest bagged spinach and freeze what you don’t use.  I do this all the time.  No waste!

4.  Overripe bananas are your best friend.  Cheaper and still just as good.

On to the smoothie!

Incredible Hulk Smoothie

2 ripe bananas

2 oranges (or 1.5 cups orange juice, but omit the water and sugar)

1 cup ice

Add your ingredients to a blender and let it do it’s magic!

My favorite smoothie lately is from my Deepak Chopra cookbook; it has almond butter, banana, and cardamom in it! So tasty! I also love water and sometimes splurge on a cream soda!
