KidzClozet Consignment Store Craft Night!

My daughter and I were lucky enough to attend a Craft Night at one of our favorite local consignment shops, KidzClozet.  We haven’t shopped there in awhile so we were so excited to drop by and check it out again.  It didn’t disappoint!  They have really expanded and have a ton more merchandise than I remembered.  They sell kids, junior and maternity clothes at great prices and everything is in great condition.  They have books and even a room with toys and other family-related things in the back of the store.  They have a kid’s play area and my daughter couldn’t get enough.  That was my favorite too since I could shop in peace for a bit!

The great thing about consignment shops is that you get really cool stuff that you might not find anywhere else.  Plus, it doesn’t shrink when you first wash it and if your kids mess it up, you aren’t that heartbroken since it didn’t cost a ridiculous amount of money.  I will tell you right now, I buy all of my kid’s clothes at consignment stores or yard sales.  They outgrow everything way to fast!  The new stuff we have either came from a store’s clearance bin, a spectacular sale or a gift from someone.  I’m not embarrassed.  I’m frugal and you are missing out if you DON’T shop at consignment stores!

KidzClozet is definitely an upscale retail shop and that’s why I love it!  It looks like an expensive boutique.  Plus, the owner, Jessica Tribbitt, really makes the store look perfect and unique!  She personally checks all the items before she buys them in order to maintain the store’s image.  You then get a cash and/or store credit offer.  They don’t accept things with stains, holes, fading, or the like.  There is also a limit to how much you can bring in so that everyone has a chance to sell their wares!  Everything has to be in working order before it hits the shelves too. This is a great opportunity for sellers and buyer alike.   KidzClozet’s windows alone are worth a look!

We went during a special event with dinner and a craft.  My daughter was talking about it all week, leading up to the event.  She invited a friend and she couldn’t wait.  Each child got to pick and paint a pumpkin after eating dinner.  We love fall and painting so this was right up our alley.  She was so excited to show Daddy and her brother her pumpkin when we got home.  This event was free (of course.  You know me!)  and so much fun!
