I am very honored to report that I will soon be blogging about the 2015 City of Hope Let Them Eat Cake Fundraiser.  This year’s theme is Masterpieces of Cake and will feature almost 40 creations from all types of cake connoisseurs.  Not to mention that there will be a number of celebrity cake judges on hand!  This event raises money for City of Hope,  a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening illnesses.

My husband is on a low carb diet and sometimes that and the Paleo diet go hand in hand.  The Paleo Chef By Pete Evans is not one of those times.  However, I’m not going to denigrate the book based on that statement alone. I love the photography in the cookbook and the recipes sound absolutely amazing.  However, most of these ingredients would require a special (not to mention costly) trip to the store for us.  Plus, having two young children on top of that, I can’t see The Paleo Chef keeping a permanent place in our family meal plan.…
